Wouldn't it be funny if L was Kira?
The criminals would be screwed then!
I reckon if the whole Kira thing actually happened (and I'd never heard of DN) I would say it could be some random - but I reckon it's L.
This is one thing I always thought - if L accuses Light of being Kira, and they are both so alike, why doesn't Light (especially with no memories) accuse him back?

you know what's ironic? if you watch far enough in the anime (don't know about the movies, not done Last Name yet), Light is a "replacement" for L after he... decides to "go on a long vacation". lolz, so now L IS Kira, and the criminals are not only screwed, they're fucked.
